Artist's Description

Isolated storm clouds and rain showers dotted the sky allowing the late day sun to highlight the totem pole butte viewed from the valley. For much of the earlier evening, these buttes where in shade. The juxtaposition of the sunlit stone against the stormy sky created a dramatic scene.
